  1. The CBI will probe if some public sector banks were pressured into lending and restructuring loans extended to Kingfisher Airlines.
  2. 44% of Equity Mutual Funds investments come from cities beyond top 15 with small towns fuelling nearly half the new stock market business this year.
  3. Market regulator SEBI has decied to bar firms declared as wilful defaulters along with their promoters and directors from accessing stock or bond markets for raising funds.
  4. Hyderabad Court has issued non bailable warrants against Kingfisher AirlinesChairman Vijay Mallya and defunct Company's CFO A Raghunath.
  5. Former Kingfisher Airlines Employees will be taking Vijay Mallya the owner of the now defunct airline to the court over the non payment of their dues. The airline owes its employees Rs 800 Crores worth of dues in salary and gratuity among others.
  6. Vijay Mallya has upto 1 year to buy his 13 residential properties which are in the books of United Spirits.
  7. Bombay Stock Exchange is soon going for Its IPO which will be the first by an Indian stock exchange

  1. In a bost to fight against mother to child transmission of HIV, J J Hospital of Mumbai has delivered 100 babies free of the virus since 2014 despite their mothers being HIV+.
  2. Two stolen statues dating back to the 8th Century and valued at over $450,000 were seized in the US from Premier auction house Christie's.
  3. RSS has expressed its support to the rising demand for entry of women into temples, advocating that the issue should be settled through discussions and dialogue.
  4. Union Enviornment Minister Prakash Javadekar who was in Mumbai indicated that there is nothing wrong in cutting trees for sustainable development.
