- TRAI has said that telecom users will be compensated Rs 1 for every call drop. Telecom operators will however compensate only three call drops per user, per day.
- The Australian Enviornment Ministry cleared the way for Adani Groups $ 7 billion Carmichael Mine and Rail project in Queensland province.
- The country's merchandise exports fell for a 10th consecutive month in September. Exports contracted 24.3 percent , the steepest in 75 months, $21.84 billion in September, against $ 28.86 billion in September 2014.
- Aircel to offer free basic internet to push mobile internet usage. The company under its Free Basic Internet Programme, is offering service with download speed of 64 kilobytes per second.
